Australian team 'pulling together as a unit' under Clarke's captaincy: Steve Waugh

Former Australian captain Steve Waugh has said that he is extremely pleased by the way Michael Clarke has embraced being the leader.
"Michael has done very well. It's not really for him to impress other people, he needs his side to play for him and they seem to be doing that - especially in that [second Test] win against South Africa," the Sydney Morning Herald quoted Waugh, as saying.
"You don't win those sort of games if your side isn't pulling together as a unit. The side is responding to him and that's a very good sign," he added.
Waugh, however, warned that Clarke needed to tread carefully in his dual role as skipper and selector.
"It's a bit different now because he's one of the selectors, which means you can't comment too much about the players. There's a fine line there. I was a selector on away tours, but not in Australia. You have to be careful and not give too much away in the media," he said.
"I think it's great that he's supporting his players, though. It's always nice when the captain is positive about the current players because that [faith] could be that one or two per center that gets the best out of them," he added.
