Injured Pattinson, Siddle to be nursed through to India showdown

Fast bowlers James Pattinson and Peter Siddle both have minor injuries and will have to be nursed through to the Boxing Day Test.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Pattinson has picked up a slight calf strain and Siddle has an elbow problem.
They are likely to be made available for one of the first two Big Bash League games for the Melbourne Stars before the Test squad assembles at the MCG next week.
Australian coach, Mickey Arthur, said the new-ball pair was not in doubt for Boxing Day but would have to be carefully looked after until then.
Australia, whose fast-bowling stocks have been ravaged by injuries cannot afford to lose another paceman, not least Pattinson, who has starred with five-wicket hauls in each of his first two Tests, or Siddle, who complemented his young Victorian teammate with fast, hostile spells to New Zealand's batsmen.
The nightmare for Cricket Australia would be for one of them to break down in a BBL game before the Test against India.
