Profile

At 17, Mitchell Marsh became the youngest Australian ever to play in their domestic one-day competition, and was also Western Australia's youngest debutant for above 70 years. Son of former Aussie legend, Geoff Marsh, Mitchell played a significant role in helping the Australian Under-19 side clinch victory in the 2010 World Cup as he captained the team. He was then bought by the Deccan Chargers in the IPL that year. In 2011, he was signed by the Pune Warriors India. Later that year, he also received his maiden international call-up in Australia’s Twenty20 side on their tour to South Africa, followed by an ODI one too, in place of Brett Lee.

Fast Facts

Mitchell Marsh is the son of former Australian batsman, Geoff and younger brother of Shaun, who is also a cricketer at the international level.
He is also a talented Australian rules football player who represented Western Australia in the 2008 Under-18 Championships.
