Smith says Sri Lanka is 'pretty crafty team'

Centurion, Dec 15 (ANI): Looking to rediscover their domination in the home Test series against Sri Lanka, South Africa captain Graeme Smith has described Sri Lanka as a "pretty crafty team."

with said that his fast bowlers in helpful home conditions would target the Sri Lankans.

A very green wicket at SuperSport Park has reinforced predictions of an onslaught by South Africa's pacers.

"That's the reality that Sri Lanka face, that our pace bowlers are in their own conditions and want to exploit that," Sport24 quoted Smith, as saying.

Although the Prtoeas have stayed in the top three of the world Test rankings for the last few years, they have not won a home series since beating Bangladesh in 2008, drawing with England, India and Australia.

"I hope we get a lot of confidence out of the way we play. We've played some really good cricket at home, but we just haven't been able to land that killer blow. We've dominated, but we haven't done enough to get over the line," Smith said.
